Music

These days, a lot of musicians tend to be in several different bands at once. People call them "a band whore". If "a band whore" means a musician who likes challenging and never gets scared of trying new stuff, Brent is one of them. He's been an original member of Faster Pussycat almost for 2 decades as a guitarist. He also plays in Adler's Appetite aka Suki Jones. He plays with LA Guns off and on as well. 3 bands so far. But who knows? Pretty soon, there might be 2-3 more bands he plays with.

FasterPussycat

Brent has been in the band from the day when the band was born. So for him, the band is almost like his own baby. He's playing a lot with other musicians in other bands. But Faster Pussycat will be always his main band. There are only 2 original members (including Brent) in the band right now, but the band is still rocking, and constantly touring all over the world. If you want to know about the band, please visit FasterPussycat.com

LA Guns

LA Guns is one of the very important bands in Brent's life. After Faster Pussycat broke up, but before the band reunited, LA Guns was the one band that brought Brent to the music scene. He toured with them in 2000 as a rhythm guitarist, and after Tracii Guns quit the band, he played with them again as a co-lead guitarist in 2003. Now LA Guns has only one guitarist, and Brent isn't playing with them. But anytime when they need him, he would happily help them out. More information about the band on LAGuns.net

1998 to 2004

Adler'sAppetite

Adler's Appetite is a project band, or can I say a Jam band? Steven Adler (ex-GN'R), Jizzy Pearl & Robbie Crane (of RATT) and Keri Kelli are in the band right now. But thinking this is a jam band, and every members are in their own bands, there is not a concrete line up right now. Anytime when everyone's schedule fits, the band go out and play some good old rock n' roll.

Sinthetics

Brent(g)
Lonny(v)
Rich(b)
Kevin(d)

Sinthetics used to be called Superficial, and the band had played in Hollywood for awhile building a pretty good fan base. Superficial played very funky music with 2 wonderful black back up singers. In 2001, Lonny, the vocalist decided to play harder and heavier music, and invited Brent to jam with them. Brent loved their music, so he accepted the offer and joined the band. They changed the name to Sinthetics and put out an EP, "Social Coma". But the band didn't last long since Brent got too busy with Faster Pussycat, and Lonny found some producers who wanted him to change his music style. Now Lonny has a new band, B-Flix and Brent wishes the best to Lonny.

Bubble

Eric Stacy/Dino(b)
Bam Bam(d)

2 members from Faster Pussycat, 1 from Vixen, 1 from Dogs D'amour. That was Bubble in 2000. Brent joined in the band in the end of 1999 and he played so many shows with the band for 1 1/2 years. Bubble had played in Japan and England a couple of times. Brent really enjoyed playing in the band. Very glammy and happy music. They released an album "How 'Bout This?" with Brent. Brent gave 200% of himself to the band. Every time they played, the clubs were packed, and people loved their groovy music. But when Faster Pussycat reunited, he left the band. He didn't want the band to sit in town and wait for him, and the band didn't want to hold back either. After alot of changes of line-ups, Bubble still plays in Hollywood and keeps making albums.

TheLiberators

Brent(g)
Phil Lewis(v)
Adam Kury(b)
Dave Moreno(d)
John Juster(k)

In 1998 Phil Lewis released his solo album, and formed his own band. Brent joined the band right after he ran into Phil in some restaurant. The band didn't have a name at the time. It was Phil's solo project. As they started playing very of ten, Phil decided to keep the band, and named it the Liberators. They played in LA, Las Vegas, Arizona area for awhile, and had a long Japan tour in summer of 1999. After other members came back to LA, Brent stayed in Japan for a month longer trying to get some record deal. When he came back with a good news, he found out LA Guns reunited, and Phil would be very busy. After the Japan tour, the band didn't play as often. In October 1999, they had the last show, and became a history even though they released an album "Access Denied" in Japan and US in the end of 1999. The band has one last reunion show in 2001 for a Metal Sludge party But that was really it. He sure did have super fun in the band with Phil. He still loves the band.

The Liberators

Brent never stopped playing. After Faster Pussycat broke up, he's been in some bands like Deluxe and even in some Japanese girl band, Manic Five O.

And he was in Joe Leste's band for a little while before the band was called Beautiful Creatures. They played a couple of shows, but Brent didn't feel right in the band, so he left it pretty soon.

Brent the producer

Brent loves finding new bands, and working with them. Even back in early 90's when he was pretty young himself, he produced one of the most popular bands in LA, Blackboard Jungle, and he did a fabulous job.

As a producer, Brent could be very strict and pretty persistent, but he is liberal, and likes trying new stuff without fear. He's always willing to help out new bands, and he loves seeing a band sound better after they work with him. He wants to work with as many bands as he can. When he's in town, he's always looking for a band to work with him.

He has a plan to make his own record label soon, and try to help the bands he produces because that's what he wants to do with the bands he finds very good.

Right now he's too busy touring, but when the tour is over, he will start working with new bands again.

Bands produced by Brent

Blackboard Jungle

Blackboard Jungle

One of the coolest bands in Hollywood in early 90's

Blackboard Jungle is one of the most under rated bands in early 90's. Their music is so good, and the band was amazing in live. They made an album with Brent, "I like it a lot", and toured with Faster Pussycat as an opening band. It's been 8 years since the band broke up, but still there are a lot of fans out there caring about the band. They just did a reunion show in June 2003, and Brent jumped on the stage and played a song with them. Nobody knows if the band is going to do another show soon, but Blackboard Jungle will be always Brent's favorite band.

The Substitutes

The Substitutes

Britt (ex-Blackboard Jungle) 's new band in San Francisco

The bassist of Blackboard Jungle, Britt moved to San Francisco, and made his own band, The Substitutes. The band has a steady fan base in San Francisco now. Britt came down to LA for their new EP, and worked with Brent again in 2003. They play very good rock n' roll. If you have a chance, check them out.

Smack

Young, energetic and new rock band in LA

Before Smack, there was a band called Super Cool. Eric Stacy (ex-Faster Pussycat) formed the band with a bunch of young talented musicians. They had a Japan tour, and played around for awhile until Eric and other members parted ways. Lantz (v) and Stacey (g) found a new bassist, Jamie and a drummer, Patrick. That's Smack. Brent produced 3 songs for them. And one of the songs has been played on Howard Stern show already.

Ash Wednesday

All girl rock band from Japan

After Blackboard Jungle, Brent had been looking for a cool band to produce, but no luck until 2000. In 2000, when Brent went to Japan with Bubble, he found this all Japanese girl band, Ash Wednesday that opened Bubble, and he thought they sounded very interesting. In 2001, the band came to LA, and worked with Brent. after a couple of member changes, Ash Wednesday sounds the best now. They had several shows in LA and got great reaction. You could never imagine how much these small beautiful Japanese girls could rock until you listen to their music!

The Nastys

The Nastys

Glam rock band from Michigan

Brent met the Nastys when he went to Grand Rapids, MI with Faster Pussycat in 2002. After watching this glam band, Brent asked them if they were interested in working with him because he thought they could sound much better. In April 2003, the band was recording with Brent in LA. They have style, and very good music.
